| Ideally, pregnant women come in early for their malaria prevention medicines. When 20-year-old Jennifer Naya came to the antenatal care clinic for her first visit, she also took her first dose of medicines to prevent her from getting malaria during pregnancy, and she will receive at least one more dose during her pregnancy. During this visit, she also received an insecticide-treated net through PMI. In addition, the clinic provided information about HIV testing, prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and other important health information for pregnant women. |
